Sprinters reached a new record in 2007, and almost all markets contributed to it. The large increase - by 179% to 165,900 units - was achieved by the new Sprinter, which is produced in the plants in Düsseldorf and Ludwigsfelde. The reasons for this large increase were a high level of demand and the achievement of full production capacity following the model changeover in 2006. In 2008 a new variant of the Sprinter with environmentally friendly natural gas drive will be launched.
